Ava Della Pietra releases heartfelt anthem, “worst of times.” The song encapsulates what it truly means to be a good friend. In life, there can be Mt. Everest highs and depths on the ocean lows, and it’s important to have people by your side who will celebrate those wins, and cradle you when you lose. There is no more meaningful gesture than standing by someone during their darkest moments. When someone is struggling with mental health, they may not want you around them, but they do need you. Loving someone is loving them always, through the good times, the bad times, and the worst times. There is an indescribable comfort in knowing your people will not abandon you, even when you don’t feel like the person you were when you met. When you’re in a valley, your peak may be just around the corner, and even if it takes a while, hold on to the people who make you feel seen, heard, loved, and safe. If it’s your worst times, that means only better times are ahead. Never apologize for your state of mind or where you are on your journey. Healing is not linear. The low lows only make the high highs that much more euphoric, and never forget the friends who helped you along the way.
