Nieri’s latest song, Architecture, is a dance/electro/synth pop song about breaking free from toxic power dynamics. Have you been in that situation before? Sadly, a lot of people have this experience. Because people are people, there’s always going to be ones that feel the need to control others. A relationship should be balanced and equal and come with authentic love from all individuals involved. True love is out there and you never have to settle for anyone who mistreats you, but you don’t have to rush either. The message of the song is very important and I hope that those with this experience can resonate with the song.
Architecture begins with a captivating beat before he makes his way into the first verse. My favorite lyrics are “Such an amateur, putting your design sheets on the floor” and
“Always engineered, pushing buttons like I’m a machine”. The first thing I noticed about this song is that it sounds unique to most of the other dance pop music I’m used to listening to. Its killer bassline, his falsetto, and production are major highlights. Nowadays, a pop song will usually have a bridge that contains extra lyrics or no bridge at all. I love and respect the idea to have a dance break serve as the bridge. In my opinion, it is the most exciting way to transition into the final chorus/climax.
Nieri is a pop artist born in Milan, Italy, but is currently based in Los Angeles, California. He is known for high-energy dance music inspired by his personal experiences and struggles, but his music also serves the purpose of inspiring and challenging his fans to be who they really are. This type of music can be seen throughout his discography and started with his debut EP, “Starshine”, which was released in July 2022. He has been performing at numerous festivals in Los Angeles and New York City such as We Found New Music and NYC Pride. He released a song in May titled “People Pleaser” with a similar cover art style so he might be gearing up for a big year. Make sure to keep an eye out!
