Review: "Things You Never Said" - Hello Sister

There's nothing worse than realizing that someone who is supposed to be your friend, really isn't. Especially when we're young, we're easier to manipulate; but there always comes a time when we snap out of it and know it's time to throw away all that toxic energy and behavior. Friends are supposed to be there for you and help you when you're feeling down, not be the one to kick you down and make you feel stupid. "Things You Never Said" by Hello Sister is about that moment when you find out your "friend" isn't exactly who they portrayed themselves to me.

The intro of "Things You Never Said" begins with beautifully haunting harmonies and then quickly jumps into a heavy, high energy punk rock song. With Scarlett on drums, Gabriella on guitar and Grace being the lead singer/bassist and keyboardist, this song is filled with instrumentation, raw talent and emotion that will knock your socks off. "Things You Never Said" gives off a "don't mess with me" type of vibe and has a really strong, distorted groove that is bound to captivate you throughout the entire duration of the song. The members of Hello Sister are rockstars and they've proven it.

Hello Sister is a pop/rock and punk trio band consisting of the three teenage sisters, Grace, Gabriella and Scarlett. Growing up in Florida with a father who was a musician, these girls were born with rock n' roll in their souls. Influenced by a wide variety of artists like Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, Paramore and the Jonas Brothers, Hello Sister has created their own authentic and raw sound. They have a ton of original music and play real live instruments which is something we need more of in this age of technology. They appeared on America's Got Talent in 2021 and Radio Disney. This year they released an EP which features "Things You Never Said" along with their other newly released single, "Lately" which you can read about here.
