Congratulations on the release of your new single “Super Love!” Would you mind sharing what past life experiences inspired you to write this new track?
June: Super Love is about the manifestation of love, want and desire! I wrote this
song based on past experience in the hope that someone feels the way that I do
when it comes to dating. Subconsciously I wrote the hook, expressing how I
internally felt about my doubts with new romantic relationships. Super Love is that
awaking song filled with honesty!
When did you start getting into music, songwriting and performing? Was it something you knew you wanted to pursue right off the bat?
June: Music for me started at the age early age of four. I started playing classical
piano and that slowly progressed into my singing. At age sixteen I had my first
opportunity to work in a studio making music. From this point forward I knew the
music industry was something I could see permanently in my future. Currently, I’m
spending my time creating music, songwriting as well as releasing. I look forward
to the world listening to my music and how I want to impact the industry.
What song do you currently have on repeat? Besides one of your own of course haha :)
June: Easily “Roses” by GASHI!
How was your experience working with Grammy award winning producer, Lab Ox?! That must’ve been so cool!
June: He’s amazing and immensely talented as expected! Thankful to be working with
him in all his excellence and patience. Super Love wouldn’t be what it is without
him.
What do you hope to accomplish in your career? And how do you hope to redefine the music industry?
June: My goal in my career is to inspire other women of color to break specifically
into pop music. And as an artist who is ready to conquer the music industry, I hope
to redefine the industry unexpectedly so stay stunned!
What can we expect next from you? I am so excited to see where this journey takes you!!
June: I’m thrilled to show my versatility when it comes to writing! Expect the
unexpected when it comes to my sound. I love to explore when I’m in the studio,
my upcoming projects will explain more of who I am as an artist.
