Youth is ephemeral– anyone can tell you that. It’s what you do with that youth that makes it memorable, important; as long as you’re enjoying the time you have when you’re young, then that’s all that really matters. Harry Lyon’s latest single “While We’re Still Young” will have you looking at your own younger years– whether you’re living them right now or if they’ve passed, you’ll remember that all you need to do to enjoy your years is to live in the moment. Take charge of your present and never stop dreaming about the future. “While We’re Still Young” is absolutely the song of the season; it’ll remind you of cool spring days, car windows that are rolled all the way down, and laying in the sunshine with the people that matter to you.

This track is all about making the most out of what you have– and although it’s talking about your youth, I think the message is nevertheless applicable to all aspects of life. Encased in a wickedly fun soundscape, its beats bouncy and synth dynamic and dancing, this song’s production is something straight out of a coming-of-age movie. It’s easy to imagine it playing while a group of friends are wandering a beach at sunset, or riding in a car with the sunroof open, hands flying in the wind. And it’ll make you feel like you’re in a coming-of-age movie, too– I recommend listening to it on a sunny day with your windows fully open for that fully immersive experience. Tuning into the lyrics also gives you a good look at Lyon's superb songwriting. They lock directly onto sensation, pulling you into Lyon's world of youth. You’ll think to yourself, “While we’re still young / we can’t stop dreaming”.
Harry Lyon is a singer-songwriter whose musical journey began at age fourteen. At that time, he signed to RCA with his band Red Faces, and has since toured the UK supporting artists Razorlight, DMA’s, and the Courtneers. He is a fresh university graduate, having studied songwriting and music production while honing his craft. His sound is a combination of all the best facets of pop– from Shawn Mendes’ synthy hooks to ‘80s nostalgia, his music captures the dynamism of indie pop. His debut single as a solo project released in 2023, entitled “Sorry”. His debut EP Lessons dropped a year later. “While We’re Still Young” is Lyon’s second single off his upcoming second EP.
