- Review: "All About You" - Antoine Chambe
Antoine Chambe’s newest single, All About You, is a dance/electronic song about infatuation. Picture yourself in a club with the music blasting and you make eye contact with someone across the room. You find yourself inexplicably attracted to this person, but you can’t put your finger on why you feel that way. You don’t know them and you’re too nervous to make the first move, but you know you want them. The infatuation consumes you and makes everything you do all about that person. At one time or another, we've all had that one stranger we found so enticing we couldn't get them off our minds. All About You starts with an infectious, pulsating drum solo. The first and second verse’s lyrics such as “I’m caught in the headlight. Baby, it’s the wrong time. The courage I can’t find, just forget it” and “It’s playground behavior. The way that I’m patient. I don’t wanna waste this, so I let it” describe the lack of confidence, but also willingness to overcome the fear of approaching this person. The pre-chorus lyrics “I don’t want to end up losing you. I’m trying, but I can’t stop” further illustrate his desperation. The chorus starts at the same volume with the buildup following. Then the beat drops and you start jamming. It ends with the same pulsating drum solo that hooked you at the beginning. I must commend the polished production and smooth vocals providing the listener with an easy listening experience. If you are an older Gen Z or younger Millennial, you will feel nostalgic listening to this song. It is very reminiscent of the EDM/house/synth pop that dominated the 2010s. It’s the type of song that makes you feel like a teenager again. Who wouldn’t want to go back in time even if only for a few moments? Antoine Chambe is a DJ and producer from France. He releases music under his own label, Riptide Records. The record label was founded in 2015 which happened to coincide with the release of his debut single, Run Away. He has released music consistently throughout the years including his debut album, Riverside, in 2022. He has worked with world renowned producers Cimo Frankel, Romy Dya, and Jimmy Burney who are known for their collaborations with top musicians including The Weeknd, David Guetta, and Cheat Codes. If you enjoyed this song, I suggest listening to his other newer songs, Reverie and Reality. Written By Jazz FOLLOW Antoine Chambe: Instagram | Spotify | Facebook | YouTube | Website | Soundcloud

Cyrus The Hokage released their brand new single titled “Day By Day!” on January 31, 2025. This song is about simply taking the day at your own pace and making sure you take it all in. Life can be a roller coaster of emotions and taking each day head on can cause so many issues with yourself or those around you. The vocals in this track are also outstanding, you can hear the shift in tone with different choruses sung. While this entire song is very upbeat with great musical elements added to it. You can hear the happy and fun mood to it throughout even with the shifts. I would say it just adds more texture to the song which is always great. I personally loved this song. It caught my attention immediately with its catchy beat and relatable lyrics. It had the amazing vibe of a track on your favorite summer playlist and I for one did not hesitate to add it to mine. - Review: "What Happened to Me" - Abby London
There are very few absolutes in this world. Nothing stays static. Life itself is dynamic and ever-changing. This is true for our identities and personalities. As we grow and face new things, we undergo constant transformation. “What Happened to Me” by Abby London tells this story from the perspective of someone questioning if they should be dissatisfied with who they have turned out to be. With lyrics such as “What happened to me? / I used to be so carefree and fun / What happened to me? / I used to be so naive and dumb,” she depicts the nuanced experience of watching yourself grow. You may feel as if you have regressed into someone who is more anxious and uptight, but you have experienced tremendous growth to get to this point. Through beautiful writing and lyrics, Abby tells the story of finding happiness and satisfaction through the growth one experiences. The melodic content sounds simple, but is made interesting through the production behind the song. The track starts out with guitar alone, underneath the vocals that demonstrate the story of the song through both expression and tone. While the melody does not alter itself too much, the instrumentals build underneath to help drive the story along. Adding a more pronounced guitar melody and drums, the song progresses itself and eventually tops off with additional vocal harmonies in the final chorus. Initially, the song sounds bare and exposed, building on itself to a more complete sound. This mirrors the story of finding contentment within your current state of existence and feeling whole and happy with where you are. Abby London’s musical journey has its own shares of mountains and valleys. Music was a grounding force in her life through various struggles. After what felt to her like a divine intervention to switch to a radio station about healing the mind, body, and soul, she was able to abandon harmful habits that inhibited her from aspiring to her full potential. Since then, she has had a number of releases and specialized in multimedia live shows that act as an engaging force for her audiences. She truly makes every performance an experience, and it is obvious that there are only more exciting things to come from this talented artist. - Review: "Here I Go" - Lánre
Pop singer-songwriter Lánre is back with his first single of 2025, "Here I Go." "Here I Go" is a disco-infused dance track with an all around feel-good vibe. The song is about feeling insecure in a relationship but finding a partner who alleviates all of it. It's a sweet, hopeful tune with an equally celebratory instrumental. "Here I Go" is an infectious track. From the funky bassline to the absolute earworm of a chorus, it's impossible not to smile--even just a little--when listening. Lánre once again proves why he is one to look out for. "Here I Go" is a charmingly vibrant dance-pop track that is catchy, upbeat, and undeniably Lánre. Jumping out the gate with a winding riff that goes right into the central bassline, "Here I Go" is a track bursting with energy. Between the undeniably catchy guitar line by Stefano Marchetti and the soulful performance from Lánre, "Here I Go" glistens with rich, groovy sounds. Lánre captures a sound inspired by disco classics of the 70s and 80s and gives it that modern pop spin that still sounds fresh. Fans of artists like Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, and The Weeknd, would find lots to appreciate within Lánre’s work. The instrumental is undeniably funky. Its sunshine-like sound and sharp production make "Here I Go" the type of song you could hear in a movie montage. Most of all, Lánre takes center stage on the track. His playful humor, earnestness, and emotive vocal delivery breathes the life into "Here I Go" that makes the track, and Lánre himself, so special. Lánre is a singer-songwriter from Plainfield, New Jersey. Using his formal education in music and classical singing, Lánre makes music with a keen ear. Inspired by pop megastars like Justin Timberlake or Usher, he blends genres of pop, R&B, disco, and electronic together, to make a sound that is timeless but undeniably his own. He began releasing music on streaming in 2020, with songs like "Ready 4 Luv" and "Flyin," and his career has only skyrocketed since. Just this past year, GQ featured Lánre as one of their Rising New Artists, and he currently has over 36,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Across all streaming platforms, Lánre has accumulated over 3 million streams and counting. - Review: "Higher" - Toby Lightman
Toby Lightman brings a newfound love for an old soul sound in her lead single, "Higher". Serenading and inspiring her audiences with her signature fervent vocals, Lightman shows off her evocative style with a resonant melody. "Higher" is Lightman's ode to authenticity and not sacrificing, but embracing one's identity amid hardship and doubt. A central theme of this track is growing as we go, as we age through life, an underrated sentiment that Lightman shows love to throughout this single. Lightman conquers the questioning of her self-worth, singing, "Where there is a mountain, I'm gonna climb it, " and repeating the words, "I'm not going down". That said, it is nearly impossible to not exit Spotify feeling resilient, seen, and capable after listening to Lightman's powerfully raw lyrics. "Higher" is a special piece that encourages listeners to pick their heads up and "rise," fearlessly breaking old boundaries and achieving new heights. "Higher" is a deeply passionate track that combines various elements to create a gripping sound. The uplifting, inspiratory instrumentals provide a nice foundation for Lightman's powerful, heart-stirring vocals. The lyrical genius behind this piece shines through Lightman's emotionally charged delivery and resonates deeply in our journey's through self discovery. The chorus is climactic. As Lightman rises above waters and climbs her mountains, she enters in with a resolute tone, capturing the listener's attention instantaneously. The whole-spirited repetition of the lyrics emphasize the importance of persevering, insisting that we must rise when the going gets tougher. Overall, this song is a moving one, stealing our hearts one beat at a time. Toby Lightman is a powerhouse. Recognized by People, Billboard, and Rolling Stone on her past albums, Lightman has revitalized the pop scene with a fresh take on a most beloved subgenre of soul-pop. Her latest album, AFTER ALL, a self-produced gem released back in 2022, not only carried heavy admiration and tribute to her idol, Prince, but also marked her very first production. Refusing to be put in a box, Lightman taught herself to produce, dedicated to setting precedent for women in the production industry and rewriting the stiff narrative it has laid out for women to follow. "Higher" is a tease of what's to come from an upcoming album to be released later this year, echoing the notions of self-love and honesty. Not only can we hope to see more meaningful heavy-hitters in this album but also another showcase of the many talents Lightman has gracefully shared with the world. - Review: "Acceptance of You" - Megan Wheeler
Megan Wheeler brings us yet another powerful and emotion filled song that is so relatable. Getting your heart broken is a pain that no one prepares you for, there are weeks or even months where you find yourself still hoping it’s just a bad dream. So that maybe you can stop putting so much pressure on yourself and what you did wrong and focus on healing and moving on. Breakups are a hard thing to gauge, you can go from thinking you know the other so well that if it ever came down to it, you’d get the closure you needed and deserved. But that is so far from the truth and the person you think you may know becomes a stranger all over again. “Acceptance of You” is a song about heartbreak and feeling all the emotions good and bad that it comes with. “Acceptance of You” opens with a hauntingly catchy melody that I for one could not stop humming. It was smooth and laid back which I thought was different for a song that gives off great vulnerability. It encompassed her vocals and lyrics perfectly paving the way for the resilient mood of the entire track. Her voice was so strong and powerful throughout, especially with lyrics like “I used to think that I only wanted you, / but now I’ve come to the acceptance of you.” When she sang those words it gave me chills every single time. The relaxed but very present instrumentals paired with the beautiful message made this song really inspiring. The young and talented Megan Wheeler is a singer/songwriter from St. Petersburg, Florida. She has released her latest track “Acceptance of You” just one month apart from her February single, titled “Now That I’m Gone” which is about an ex that tries to regain contact after a breakup. Her talents can be compared to artists like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan while also adding a more modern touch for younger generations to relate to. At the age of 16 years old she released her first single titled “Replaced” but her passion for music has been present since she was a young girl. Wheeler creates music where she can continue to be her honest and authentic self. “Acceptance of You” is out now on all major streaming platforms so be sure to give her a listen. - Review: "PURPLE CLOUDS" - Moniah
There are countless days where we go without being with our significant other and it can feel like forever. Being in their presence and feeling that connection Is quite possibly the best feeling in the world. While we are out living our dreams and creating a future for ourselves, they are always there to cheer us on. But that doesn’t take away from the fact that they aren’t with us, and they aren’t experiencing these chapters of life with us. Moniah’s latest track “PURPLE CLOUDS” is a fun and catchy track about missing your other half while also staying true to yourself and chasing your dreams. “PURPLE CLOUDS” is such a feel-good upbeat track with so many musical elements to it. I personally loved the upbeat drum tone the entire song had. Paired with these beats were the clapping rhythms which I thought added that soulful, groovy mood. Her vocals were also seriously outstanding. She went from powerful and bouncy with lyrics like “Purple clouds will bring me home“ and “Making rhymes to the beat and yeah I love it (love it).” It was such a vibe filled song and I for one couldn’t get enough. Moniah is a singer/songwriter who is based in London, United Kingdom. She found her passion for creating music at a very young age and has since then made quite the name for herself. I found her music to be so powerful and uplifting but also so personal at the same time making her a unique artist. Her genre can be compared to R&B artists like Beyonce and Doja Cat while also adding pop elements here and there. “PURPLE CLOUDS” is just one of five great tracks on her latest EP titled “ANYWHERE BUT HERE.” I highly recommend giving her a listen and be sure to follow her socials below and follow along on her musical journey. - Review: "HEARTBREAK GETAWAY" - Sara King
Sara King's "HEARTBREAK GETAWAY" is a journey with dazzling moments of self-discovery after a shattered romance. The best way to numb the pain, it seems, is to run from it. King sets a scene reminiscent of a New York City night, full of movement, mystery, and the promise of excitement. Each shining light, smoke break, dark street, and passing stranger distracts King from the lingering heartache. But the unfamiliarity of the big city is a reminder of why we're here—heartbreak. "No matter how far I go, I can't escape," King sings. It's a beautiful push and pull between the past that haunts us and the love that awaits on the other side of leaving the comfort zone. "HEARTBREAK GETAWAY" blends heartache, exploration, and glamor with the power of sound. Her lyrics strike a balance between catchy and poetic. King's warm voice adds a soft, ethereal essence to each word. The second verse moves like a movie montage. Adrenaline rises as the beat propels the thrilling narrative, like you're running by King's side through the experience. Echoes of nostalgia and elements of the '80s beam in the synthesizers. The shimmering arpeggio sprinkles sweetness over the bitter reason why King needs a ticket to get away. Sara King's music style revolves around a modern retro sound. She reveals that she has a range of contemporary and older influences, such as Lana Del Rey , The Marías, Patsy Cline , and Billie Holiday . In 2013, she started uploading covers to YouTube. Since then, she has built a large audience. In 2018, she released her debut album, HEAT, a romantic medley of indie pop she created with producer Luke Jr.. Her latest EP, Orchid, released in 2023, shows how she has continued to develop a soft, dreamy atmosphere mixed with retro elements. In addition to music, Sara King is a creative director for her clothing brand, Little Cowboy. Her range of creativity is evidence of her knowledge and expression of the vintage world. - Review: "Too Many Ways" - Lexi Faye
In a new single titled “Too Many Ways”, rising singer songwriter Lexi Faye discusses her hardships with working through anxiety and depression. There are also overlapping themes of the struggles in everyone’s general lives, like grief and loss of friendship. Growing up in a society like ours, there are many ways to feel beat down and battered by the tests one endured. Faye’s song not only acknowledges these facts, but also finds a way to be uplifting and look for the silver linings. She realizes that although there are hardships, you must overcome what is thrown at you, because that is simply life. The soundscape is calming and slow, with a repetitive finger picked guitar line. The lack of overbearing instrumentals and vocals allows Faye’s message to shine through and truly hit home. Faye states that she started with the first line of this song, and then built the premise off of the question that she continuously asks herself. This track’s opening line is “Who knew there was more than one way to die / Broken hearts and backstabbing knives”. Starting strong with a tough subject, she gathers these ‘ways to die’ and lists many other harms in the world, and many things that have brought her down. However, she ends the chorus with the sentiment “You don't stop breathing by just saying goodbye”. A simple line, she acknowledges that, while it might feel like the end of the world, saying goodbye to someone else is not the end of your own life. The bridge truly hones in this idea, with these repeated two lines: “I wish someone told me / That breathing doesn't mean that you're living / I wish someone told me / That your heart doesn't have to stop beating” Seventeen year old singer-songwriter Lexi Faye may have only recently broken into the professional music world, but she is no stranger to the art behind it. Starting writing her own music at age fourteen, she has now honed her craft and found her groove and style. Based in Colorado, she traveled to Nashville to record this track and two others, which she says is no doubt the highlight of her career so far. “It was a dream come true,” she says. “These songs are everything I could ever want them to be.” Make sure to follow the social medias below to stay tuned for more music from Lexi Faye.
