  • Review: "Bad Enough" - Tinsley

With the first release since her debut album last January, Seattle based singer-songwriter Tinsley introduces “Bad Enough”, a sarcastic and witty single dropped February 13th. This track is about realizing you don’t even need to wish revenge on your ex, their life is ‘bad enough’ without you in it. They have lost the light and happiness that you brought to them, and are now facing their own demise. Inspired by the songwriting and storytelling behind Taylor Swift and the indie pop soundscapes of Maggie Rogers, Tinsley blends influences to make her own conversational, fiery, and empowering style. “It’s a celebratory post-breakup anthem for anyone who’s realized that moving on and thriving is the best revenge,” she says. The track opens with vocalizations of the words “bad enough”, which are repeated later in the song as the chorus. She hits the ground running getting straight to the point of her lyrics- his life is bad enough now. In the first verse, she tears him down with various gossip that she has heard: he’s been dumped (shocker there), his new song sucks (she loves that), and he’s a total manchild (she’s not surprised). In the second verse, she sings, “I know your life sucks / So I don’t need revenge / Cause you’re doing bad enough / Bad enough on your end”. While some of her lyrics dance around this topic, she chooses her own peace by coming out and saying what is on her mind. She drives her idea home, proving that she has moved forward with her life while he just moves backward. Tinsley is a Seattle-based indie pop singer and songwriter, who has been releasing music since 2018. She started by sharing videos of her original songs on Instagram and YouTube, and quickly blew up on the internet and around Seattle. People loved her vocals and her realistic lyrics, and she began to partner with electronic producers such as Justin Hartinger and Joza. She has released two EPs, one in 2020 and one in 2023. She released her first album, simply titled “Tinsley” in January of 2025, and took time for herself this past year, until coming back and releasing “Bad Enough”. • Review: "Right Place Wrong Time" - Filip Clements

Imagine walking down an alley alone on a rainy night. This would be the song playing on the speakers in the place where many bad decisions will take place. “Right Place Wrong Time” is the debut single from London-based musician Filip Clements. The single was produced by Grammy-winners Catherine Marks (boygenius, Ed O’Brien) and Martin Terefe (Yungblud, Robbie Williams), and Tord Knudsen of The Wombats. Clements makes music for the big stage, anthemic indie rock with pop sensibilities. Riding on a glorious, 80s-esque bass line, the colossal “Right Place Wrong Time” is about the urge to chase something that might have worked if the timing had been different. “When you choose feelings over sense, allowing yourself to believe this could work, even when you know it probably won’t. A song about chaos, chemistry, and all the wrong moments.” Clements came from a musical family; however, instead of pursuing a career in music as soon as possible, he enlisted in the army as a teenager. While stationed in the Arctic Circle, Clements found himself playing and writing late into the night on a broken-down piano in a small chapel, an experience that ignited his journey to make music his defining life choice. Since leaving the army, his talent has caught the attention of Joachim Berg and Martin Sköld of the influential Swedish rock band Kent. This led to a short period of writing and recording in Stockholm before Clements moved to the UK in 2022 to focus fully on his career as a solo artist. His upbringing shines through the single in the way he glides through the notes. It sound professionaly mixed and high quality. Filip Clements is one of the first artists signed to Eastcote Recordings, a new record label founded by Terefe with industry veterans Bruce Lampcov (Kobalt, Fintage, Downtown) and Ahmetcan Tasdemir (Gulbaba Records). The label is born from the ethos and operates out of Eastcote Studios in West London. Established in 1980 by Chaz Jankel from Ian Dury & The Blockheads with musician and engineer Philip Bagenal, Eastcote has welcomed and inspired generations of musicians, including The Pogues, Arctic Monkeys, Mumford & Sons, Wolf Alice, and Adele. His music is indie rock with pop sensibilities, written for the big stage. His debut album Soft Apocalypse is scheduled for release in the autumn of 2026. “Right Place Wrong Time” is out now on all streaming platforms. Listen wherever you get your music! • Review: "Beyond" - Rosie Meyer

Rosie Meyer’s latest single “Beyond” is like summer nostalgia distilled into a song, but with a subtle ‘Bonnie leaving Clyde’ twist. The song is all about escaping with someone’s heart (and credit cards), your hands out the car windows to feel the wind between your fingers as you leave them behind you. As the title says, you’re heading out beyond– and far, far away. “Beyond” is a song that is best enjoyed while being blasted out of the stereo, a perfect mix of catchy melodies and 80's stylings. It’s got some pop influence and country touch, combined with that indiepop vibe and synth. If you’re looking for your next summer jam, this would absolutely be it. If you’ve got a road trip coming up, then “Beyond” definitely has to be the first song you should add to your driving playlist. It’s no exaggeration when I say that this song sounds exactly like summertime, full of upbeat 80’s vibes that will have you screaming the lyrics out the windows. I love how it’s not quite a love song– sure, it’s about relationships, but it’s more focused on the feeling that comes after you’ve slipped out of a relationship and realized that you feel freer without it. You’ve stolen away with their heart and you’re the one headed out into the horizon. The soundscape really helps give the feeling of escape, and the catharsis that follows it. With synth and gentle percussion, combined with a chorus that grows in strength, you feel every bit of that freedom. I especially like the parts where Rosie’s voice increases in energy with each “beyond” she repeats. It’s an amazing way to add emphasis while building on the soundscape itself. “Beyond” is one of those songs that you instantly recognize as belonging in your headphones during a walk, a beach day, or honestly anytime you’re out and about in the sunlight. Rosie Meyer is a singer-songwriter whose music combines sharp storytelling with cheeky hooks. She’s known for blending pop styles with touches of country and 80's influences. She debuted back in 2023 with her single “Deep Down”, and has since released a number of other amazing tracks. Her debut EP Thunder  followed the next year, with her 2025 EP words  coming shortly after. “Beyond” is Rosie’s first single of 2026, bringing together The Japanese House and Sabrina Carpenter sounds to make a brilliant song to start the year. • Review: "Just Say It" - Siena Mai

Coming off of Valentin'es Day weekend, I've been hearing a lot of the cliche love songs that don't quite capture everything. A lot of times it feels like these songs only capture what it feels like when you're freshly in a new relationship. What Siena Mai has captured is those moments right before all of the questions that you have about someone are answered. "Just Say It" is a perfect example of the daydreamy feeling that we get when we know we want someone and the music surrounding the lyrics feels so whimsical. Everything about this song makes you want to believe in love again and embrace those first moments. The song starts off feeling and sounding optimistic. The first verse feels simple musically to allow room for Siena's voice to shine in all of its glorious raspy-ness. When the chorus hits, it sounds like everything gets extremely colorful bringing in those notes of whimsy. There are so many instruments that are added in the chorus like piano, xylaphone etc which help add those elements of magic. The piano continues to be a main even into the second verse as well. The lyrics are incredibly personal and dreamy, especially in the chorus really capturing what new love feels like. My favorite lyrics are, "It don't have to be complicated, if you're in love just say it." Siena Mai is an 18 year old singer-songwriter from Liverpool, England. Siena's passion for the arts came when they were in drama schools local to her at a young age. While taking classes, they were able to explore singing and songwriting which followed suit for their love for pop music. Writing their own songs at the young age of 6 years old, they were able to express themselves the best this way through those crazy teenage years when emotions can be an all time high. Now with their newest single, "Just Say It," the world can now experience everything that Siena has to offer including their absolute raw talent and music intellect. • Review: "Hate You More" - Paris WYA

Plunge yourself into a full-fledged breakup story that showcases the balance and reality of grieving a relationship with “Hate You More” from Paris WYA. The third single off Mannequin, her upcoming EP, “Hate You More”, truly details how polarizing a breakup can be. Instead of jumping straight to hating someone who’s hurt her, this track puts the rawness and vulnerability of a breakup on full display. Accompanied by the blended sound of snappy synths and gentle guitar plucking, Paris takes listeners on a high-energy ride that puts the real harshness of a concluded relationship under a direct spotlight. With a nostalgic sound reminiscent of the late 90’s/early 2000’s and a modern, unique attitude, Paris executes a track that is both emotionally complex and quite danceable. Similar to the song’s subject, the overall sound of “Hate You More” exemplifies emotional vertigo. As Paris navigates this confusing situation, listeners are taken on a journey that is especially commonly relatable and a beautiful extension of emotional power & reflection.  While it’s common for people to stick to a “formula” of sorts, just immediately writing their ex-partner off, Paris doesn’t shy away from showing that there’s a period following a breakup where you can be stuck between rejection and acceptance. Despite the title being “Hate You More”, the track itself is beautifully contradictory. While listeners may automatically interpret otherwise from the titling, “Hate You More” is coupled with the line, “Wish I could hate you more,”  within the track itself. This entails Paris’s complex feelings about her ex-partner and gives listeners real insight into just how back & forth emotions can feel & be while in this stage of a breakup. Her honesty and ability to bend & snap this track to such a complicated situation show how versatile and mature she is as an artist. Rather than simply casting aside this former relationship and the person as a whole, she utilizes this pain to produce a song that is both smart and simply, painfully (in a good way) a reflection of dating. While Paris’s sound and persona are utterly unique and thriving, this track reminded me of an artist like Avril Lavigne for its danceability, throwback feel, and ability to reach widespread audiences through complex emotion.  Paris WYA is a cosmopolitan pop artist raised across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Born in Shanghai and now based in the US, Paris has been involved and surrounded by music since childhood. While developing her vocal abilities and performance skills, she simultaneously learned to play the guitar, piano, and drums. As she grew up and continued to develop her musical skills, she went on to become a student at Cornell and released two EPs - UNTANGLED (2024) and GLITCH (2025). With the upcoming release of her new EP, MANNEQUIN, she is transitioning her sound from edgy, digital-first pop to a more vulnerable, stripped-down sound with ethereal energy. On this EP, she navigates insecurity, grief, heartbreak and strives for clarity through songwriting that brilliantly balances striking imagery and vulnerability. In addition to her musical career, Paris WYA is in collaboration with fashion duo Domen & Van de Velde, showcasing her place as a multimedia artist poised for international recognition.  Written By Madison Spies FOLLOW PARIS WYA: Instagram | Spotify  | TikTok | Facebook  | YouTube

  • Interview with Ellise

Ellise is one of the best artists of this generation. Her candid lyrics and haunting melodies reel listeners in and keep them craving more. On the closing night of The PRETTY EVIL Tour Act II , I had the honor to sit down with the dark-pop icon. We discussed the tour, her last album, her newest single, and her upcoming project. Read this insightful interview with Ellise to learn more. You just concluded Act II of the PRETTY EVIL tour. What did you do differently from the first leg, and what was your goal coming into this leg? “The first leg of the Pretty Evil Tour was my first ever headliner, so it was a lot of trial and error. I feel like I was learning so much while being on the tour - and I still am. But  I definitely think, because of that in itself, this tour felt a lot more second nature and smoother for me personally, because I've done it before.
The hurdle that "this is a new thing I have never tried' has passed, which has been amazing." On the first tour, I wasn't great at regulating my anxiety. I'm someone who gets overwhelmed and overstimulated easily. And so, of course, being on tour is the environment to be constantly overstimulated in. On the first act, I felt I didn't have great ways to negate that, and so it was overpowering at times. On this tour, I've really learned how to step back... If I need a moment, I'm going to put my headphones on and go to another room. It's all gonna be fine. And just little things, like little tips and tricks to sleep better, to eat better, to know when to eat so that I'm not starving at 6 p.m. and wondering, 'Why do I have a headache? Why do I have anxiety?' So overall, I think just like being able to jump the hurdle of doing it once and having that experience has made me so much better at being chill and coping with the craziness that is tour, and it's been a great, smooth-sailing ride. Meg Smith is your supporting act this leg. What is it like working with her, and are there any plans for future collaboration?  “You know, we've been talking about it all tour. It's been amazing to tour with her.
She is honestly just such a chill girl. She's so kind and easygoing. It has been really nice to become her friend. We had mutual friends before this tour, but we had never actually hung out or met. So it was really nice to be able to not only tour with someone so talented, but also a really nice and kind person.
So it's been amazing. You know, we're all living together in a little bus for a month straight, so personality matters a lot, and she's just been really great to hang out with.” “Sexxxtapes” contains a very unique storyline about longing and self-preservation. What was it like diving into a topic so raw and honest? “In my real life, I'm kind of a bit more of a reserved person, I would say. But when it comes to my music and what I write, I just have this 'no shame button.' I love to write about the most volatile things I experience, and the most, honestly, the most taboo, almost humiliating, embarrassing emotions I experience, because I know I'm not the only one.
And I know that by writing stuff like that, it's not only cathartic for me, but it's something that almost has a shock value, where when people listen to it, they're like, 'Oh, like maybe I've felt this too, but I would never say that out loud.' And so that's kind of what the whole thesis of this new project has been. When we're with ourselves and ourselves only, we all have our little things we think and feel that maybe we don't really tell other people. And that's kind of what I wanted to write about for 'Sexxxtapes' and for the EP.
It's a complicated emotion, but it's a real emotion, and I honestly, at this point, I just want to be real as fuck. I want to be the most real version of everything I think and feel. I'm not perfect. I'm not always the victim. I have my flaws and my toxic things and my crazy insecurities, and I just wanted to put them all out there.” PRETTY EVIL was in my top 5 most-played albums of 2025 and personally considered a skipless project, so it’s hard for me to choose a favorite track. Is there a song that you would say was your favorite to write and record? “Seriously? Wow, thank you! Thank you so much. I have a few favorites for different reasons.
I would say, sonically, 'PRETTY' is my favorite. I just love 'PRETTY.' I feel like it's a very unique song.
It has a lot of elements to it that I don't feel like a lot of other things on the album have – both in the instrumentation and the amount of lyrics. It's a very wordy song, and I love wordy songs. If you listen to my music, I'm sure you would agree.” “I would say 'valentine' is another favorite. That's probably one of my favorite songs I've ever written lyrically. It was kind of a difficult one to write, which, usually, when I'm writing songs, even if it's about the craziest things, it doesn't emotionally faze me. But that song was so fresh off the heels of the actual situation that I was very emotional while making it.
And so it holds a little place in my heart.” “But I would say also, 'cherry on top,' I love. I think those three have kind of become my holy trinity of the album. They're my favorites, and kind of all for different reasons. I feel like they reflect the flavors of the album the best.”  You utilize dark and morbid imagery in your songs to convey a multitude of human emotions. What are some of your inspirations for the macabre lyrics?  “I think a lot of the inspiration in my music has really stemmed from, honestly, my childhood and my adolescence. I have always been into really dark media. Even as a kid, I was kind of a shock seeker and a little bit edgy. I always wanted to watch the scariest movie, read the scariest Stephen King novel, know about the worst historical events, not because I enjoy it or I agree with any of it, but literally to shock myself and to be dumbfounded that those things actually exist. That people make art that dark. And so I've always been into, you know, the world of Tim Burton, the world of all kinds of horror and sort of weirder type of movies." “So, even my music taste was shaped by that. When I first started having my own music taste as a 10, 11, 12-year-old, I got into Nirvana, Melanie Martinez, The Neighbourhood, and early Lana [Del Rey]. And I just always had a taste for like these darker things. I mean, I do love hyperfeminine things as well.
Pink is my favorite color. I love all things hyperfeminine. I love to use that sort of imagery as well, but I definitely think at this point my brain is just sort of wired that way. It’s kind of just what comes out of me.” Is there a favorite line you’ve written? “Oh, my God. That’s a really good question. I think a recent favorite, I don't know about an all-time favorite, but a recent favorite that I've been loving because we're playing it on this set, and we didn't on the last tour, is in 'loser.' I say, 'I lowered my standards for you, a 10 reaching down to a 2. You weren't misunderstood, not some prodigal godsend, just playing video games in your room.' I feel like that's a good roast. I really.. I read him.” I agreed and stated that the album’s song, “dead2me” is also a huge roast.  “It’s definitely the most fun song on Pretty Evil.  It’s just so angry and stupid. Silly, angry, fun, which I love. I'm a theater kid. I love my overdramatic moments. It’s the best thing ever.” Which song on the setlist is your favorite to perform live, and why? “‘Sexxxtapes.’ It has become so fun. It's also just been crazy to be playing these shows. Even before the song was released, everyone was singing along. It's the best feeling ever, and people really are responding to it in the crowd.” Throughout the album, lyrics connect to other tracks (i.e., the red hair in “dead2me” and “valentine”). Is this something you did intentionally to transform the album into a cohesive narrative or something that happened naturally in the songwriting process?  “Honestly, it was all very planned. As far as just the specific lines of mentioning red hair in both 'valentine' and 'dead2me', that wasn't necessarily preplanned. I made 'valentine' first. So, when I went in to make 'dead2me,' I didn’t think, ‘I know I'm gonna mention the red hair again.’ But when I had the idea while I was making the song, I was like, 'That's perfect,' because this album was all about one person. It was all about one situation that I went through. And so I wanted the entirety of the album to feel like that cycle of the beginning to the end, the high-high to the low-low of the relationship.
And so it kind of just worked out really well when I was writing 'dead2me.'”  "It's a real story. I really did find a red hair, and I kept it, and I saved it in a book. And that is how I eventually found out what was going on. So, I like to get real literal in a lot of my lyrics. I like to be oddly specific at times because there's so much music out there. I want to write about exactly what happened to me. Not the general feeling of it, the literal specifications of what I went through." What does this next era of music look like? New genre? Collaborators? “I would definitely say the sound is changing up a bit. 'Sexxxtapes' is a good marker for the sound of this new music. It’s kind of a double-handed thing. With the more raw, more honest, more gruesome, gritty song concepts, I also want things to feel more fun. I'm also at a place in my life where I'm growing, I'm aging, I'm getting older. I understand that not everything is the end of the world. And I'm sort of feeling this overall sense of happiness and a weight lifted in my real life, so I want that to reflect in the music. I think sonically, it really does. And it's a much more fun and free sound. It's still dark. It's still me, but it's definitely leaning a lot more into the synth pop land. And just a little bit more carefree.” Who are your greatest musical influences?  “I would say my top all-time musical influences are Ariana Grande, Melanie Martinez, Nirvana, Paramore, and Lana. Those are the artists that I found at such a pivotal, artistic moment in my early teens, where I think if I didn't find any of those artists, I wouldn't have become an artist in the same way that I am today.
So I definitely credit all those artists for being the first people who made me want to write songs and made me want to be an artist myself. And I still love their music today." If you could collab with one artist, dead or alive, who would it be and why? “Can I have a dead AND an alive? Okay, dead, I would say Kurt Cobain.
Alive? Do I say Hayley Williams [from Paramore] or do I say Ariana Grande? I'm going to choose Hayley Williams. I would love both of those so much. I would be happy to do either. I mean, if that happens to me, I can just die after that. One of the greatest vocalists of our generation the world will ever see. It's not talked about enough. It's jaw-dropping.” Is there anything else we haven’t discussed that you would like your fans to know? About the tour, PRETTY EVIL, “Sexxxtapes”, upcoming music? “ I would love to. My new project will be out soon. It will be out in the spring. I'm super excited. I personally think it's the best music I've ever made. I think it outshines PRETTY EVIL , my entire catalog.
And I say that shamelessly. I think it's so good. And it'll be out real soon, by the end of spring.” “Another thing about the songs is that the videos are kind of like an anthology. It's sort of a continuous story, so there will be a lot more Easter eggs, a lot more hints, a lot more sort of hidden meanings. If you haven’t seen it, the “Sexxxtapes” video has so many Easter eggs in it. I plan to continue to do that for the rest of them. I also plan to tour a lot more throughout the rest of the year.” Follow Ellise on all social media to stay up to date on announcements, including the release dates for her latest singles and upcoming EP. • Ellise Act II of the PRETTY EVIL tour in San Diego

Ellise just concluded Act II of the PRETTY EVIL tour in San Diego. This headlining tour contained two legs: one in Summer 2025 and one in Winter 2026. I had the honor of attending both acts, hearing the new setlist, and experiencing the singer’s phenomenal stage presence. In just five short months since I saw her in Los Angeles , Ellise had already grown immensely. The first show was already magnetic, showcasing her unmistakable talent. However, seeing the closing night of Act II astonished me even further. The confidence overflowed from the stage, causing a ripple effect in the crowd. Ellise is made for stardom, and seeing her live is a must for all music lovers. Ellise kicked off the night with “KEROSENE,” a track from the deluxe version of her 2025 album, PRETTY EVIL . Immediately, I knew the show would be different from Act I because this was newly added to the setlist. Everyone in the crowd lit up, singing and dancing along to the infectious track. In the bridge, Ellise hit the first of many impressive high notes of the evening. The audience went wild from her powerful voice, successfully starting the show off with a bang. The show continued with a mix of tracks from the first leg and different tracks added to this leg. When she sang her older song, “Chaotic,” I remember feeling mesmerized by her vocal riffs, left stunned by her impeccable control. This vocal control was displayed further in her cover of “Dangerous Woman” by Ariana Grande. This is not an easy artist to cover, due to the nature of her soulful voice. However, Ellise performed the best cover of any Grande song I have ever heard. She blew away the audience and proved she is destined for the major leagues.  As the final night of the show, Ellise wanted to provide something special for her fans. She delivered one of the most requested surprises. She brought out her best friend and frequent collaborator, Ashley Sienna, to sing their song, “DOLLFACE.” The pure joy in the two artists’ eyes as they reconnected after months spread across the crowd. Everyone danced and sang along as Ellise and Sienna performed the song like two (talented) friends at karaoke – happy, lighthearted, and carefree. On a night full of dark, miserable tracks about betrayal and murder, this was a nice break for everyone to let loose. Closing night in San Diego was the official transition from PRETTY EVIL to Ellise’s upcoming EP. In honor of this, she sang four songs from this new project, including her latest single, “Sexxxtapes” . The sensual breakup song has only been out for a few weeks, but everyone already knows every single lyric. This showcases the devotion her fans have for her and how thrilled they are for new music. The three other tracks are currently unreleased, giving the audience a sneak peek into her new era. These four songs are some of Ellise’s best work, and I am excited to hear the studio versions when they are released.   Follow Ellise on all social media to stay up to date on announcements, including the release dates for her latest singles and upcoming EP. • Review: "Little Lover" - Hello Sister

2026 is bringing back the whimsy of 2016, and many artists are chasing that nostalgic sound. Hello Sister's newest single, "Little Lover," has hit the nail right on the head. It has the kind of catchy beat that transports you to a convertible gliding on a street lined with palm trees. It perfectly captures the lovesick innocence of youth in an upbeat way. The vocals helped this song along, wrapping it up in a nice bow for a nostalgic present. The song captures a special feeling in its melody. This talented young band of three sisters is having a blast playing their own instruments and collaborating on music. They have exciting plans to unveil new music throughout the year. The dynamic pop-rock band consists of three multi-talented sisters. Grace (lead vocals, keyboard, and bass), Gabriella (vocals and guitar), and Scarlett (vocals and drums). Their unique, infectious sound blends influences from Paramore, Avril Lavigne, Olivia Rodrigo, and Beabadoobee, and their high-energy performances. The trio made their national television debut on season 16 of America's Got Talent , receiving a standing ovation from Simon Cowell after performing their original song, "Middle Schooler." In December 2023, in a spectacular showcase of their talent, hello sister owned the stage at the iconic iHeartRadio Jingle Ball in New York. The trio's electrifying stage presence left the audience buzzing. With a blend of catchy pop hooks and rock-infused beats, Hello Sister proved they’re not just an opening act but rising stars who steal the show. “Little Lover” is a fun, laid-back love song about getting over a past relationship and “burying those memories six feet under”. Throughout the song, the lyrics express a sarcastic attempt to move on while still struggling to fully accept it. This song reminds us of cruising down the California coast with the top down, ocean breeze in the air, just chilling and having a good time. This one feels different from our past releases—more chill, more catchy, more “play it on repeat.” If you’re into indie pop, indie rock, alt-pop, and road trip music, this might be your new fav! • Review: "Sleepless Nights" - Chloe Jane

Chloe Jane intertwines the timeless elements of romance and orchestral strings with 2000s dance beats in her recent release “Sleepless Nights.” As all classic love stories tell, Jane finds an unexpected interest among the crowd, and the two people develop an ardent relationship. The Jane-Austen-esque lyrics reveal that her partner pushes through her judgment of the world, offering a new perspective. From pacing and wondering to sharing time under the moonlight, the desire leads to sleepless nights. “Sleepless Nights” raises the tension with orchestral elements and breaks through with an EDM drop as wonderful as that first kiss. The cello and violin play with the flair of modern rhythms, creating a Bridgeton-like atmosphere. But instead of a waltzing three-meter tempo, the four-on-the-floor beat discards the ballroom etiquette and cues the time to let loose. Produced by Tor Eimon, known for his work with Ava Max and David Guetta, the energy from those 2000s party hits bursts through. “Sleepless Nights” is a fresh mix of the classic sound. Jane entered the dance-the-night-away world as young as thirteen. She landed her first DJ gig and opened for Paris Hilton. • Review: "First Day" - Christian Chambers

Photography: Max Baker "First Day" is the newest and third single from amazing artist Christian Chambers , a song about a love that will never die. Many people often claim that they found the love of their life or their soulmate before realizing that the relationship they are in with them was not actually ever meant to be. However, Chambers describes how he doesn't feel this way at all. He is so deeply in love that he is truly confident he has found the person he is meant to be with. The butterflies you feel at the beginning of a relationship never left for him, meaning that the feeling of a budding romance still permeates in his life, which shows him that the love he is experiencing won't dissipate. The summery setting the lyrics portray perfectly capture the accompanying sound a part of the production in “First Day”. The combination of joyful 80s synths and modern pop beats makes it a timeless classic, especially with Chambers' amazing vocals. His octave changes and runs along with the addition of the distinct guitar chords establish this fun bop as one of a kind. During the verses, the production style is more at ease, but becomes intensified during the chorus, as if the verses symbolize a summer day and the choruses symbolize fun nights out on the town. Every part of the song is addictive and bubbly, especially when it comes to that amazing bridge! Christian Chambers is a multitalented music artist based in Los Angeles, California. He began his music career strong with the release of his fantastic debut single "Anywhere with You" on Valentine's Day in 2023. In August of 2025, he released his second single "Running". He's also been prevalent in commercials and was a part of season 27 of The Voice . Chambers also presents his versatility and virtuosity in his work by offering vocals, self-written lyrics, and creative production styles, crafts of his he has been perfecting for almost two decades. Christian Chambers is a stupendous and wonderful musician! Written By Ashley Adams FOLLOW CHRISTIAN CHAMBERS: Instagram | Spotify  | TikTok  | Facebook  | Apple Music

  • Review: "DJesus" - Magdalene

Magdalene is a proud pop star for the freaks. With sounds influenced by Fame Monster -era Gaga and hyperpop legends like SOPHIE and Charli xcx, Magdalene’s sound is bombastic, meaningful, and unabashedly pop. Her latest single, “DJesus,” continues on this legacy. Much like the previously named musicians’ works, “DJesus” is both a carefully crafted artistic statement and, of course, an undeniable banger. The track is an EDM-infused pop-rock party anthem. Produced by Slushpuppy and Dylan Harrison, “DJesus,” is simply irresistible. Comparing the highs of a rave to a religious experience, Magdalene creates pure pop euphoria. “DJesus” is a callback to the time when camp-infused pop was mainstream. Magdalene’s performance skills, in particular, are kitsch to the max. Her vocals are powerful and brim with personality. The music video highlights this even further. Set in a trailer park town, we watch a community blindly bestow upon their DJesus (portrayed by Magdalene, donning numerous Gaga-esque, colorful costumes). Satirizing the conservative, Christian right, Magdalene's lyrics are biting and sharp. “DJesus” is a reminder that pop is a high art worthy of respect. Magdalene is the future of pop stardom. A LA and New York-based artist and producer, Magdalene has been in the music game for years. Originally a member of bands like Current Joys and Surf Curse, Magdalene went solo in 2024. Since then, she has received mass critical and commercial success. PAPER Magazine profiled Magdalene for her track “Lucky Girl” in 2025, acclaiming the song’s artistry. On social media, Magdalene has seen mass TikTok virality, even becoming the face for Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds Pop’ playlist. With nearly 60,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and over 500,000 streams, Magdalene is blowing up—and it’s not hard to see why. You can listen to “DJesus,” along with the rest of Magdalene’s discography, on all major streaming platforms now. Written By Lauren Nolan FOLLOW MAGDALENE: Instagram | Spotify  | TikTok  | YouTube
