- Review: "Wildfire" - Allegra
Rising London-based pop artist, Allegra, expresses the intoxicating and fated power of human connection, where passion, intimacy, and love co-exist. Allegra’s cleverly titled single, "Wildfire," inspires audiences to live a life consumed by hope as opposed to fear. The original, symbolic, and heartfelt hit voices a reality built on the embracement of vulnerability. There is a raw and buzzing intimacy found in Allegra’s storytelling. Her stimulating and dynamic soundscape is brilliantly paired with brutally honest, simple, and charged lyrics, innately delivering a heightened sound that parallels the divided experience of chaos versus peace (fear vs courage). In this case, the balance relies on having faith in the development of interpersonal connections and accepting its impact. Emotional intimacy and its core embodiments design trust, communication, and resilience to be key factors in the speaker’s climatic and emotional journey. The song’s narrative is framed to follow an urgent speaker delivering a liberating message on unity. The speaker’s persuasive, yet confident tone, guides the tune to hold a unique take on the rapid and at times uncomfortable truth, behind all-consuming connections. Allegra’s innovative and witty wordplay with the title itself, “Wildfire,” explores the typical unbounded and rampant effect of devastating fires to instead represent free and united interpersonal connections. Because of this, the word wildfire is defined in a positive light, where intense feelings of passion and undoubted vulnerability are linked with a vigorous and sturdy sense of unity. Allegra’s rich and vivid sound, both in voice and track, successfully create an electrifying, thrilling, and fierce atmosphere enhanced by simple, yet layered storytelling. The song is anchored by glimpses of EDM, dance-pop and strong electronic beats. As a whole, the track is surrounded by a strong sense of versatility in both genre and style. Its diverse influences allows listeners to deeply feel and connect with Allegra’s sound. In my opinion, Allegra thrives within the electro-pop and dance culture circle, due to her masterful ability to fuse a bold, striking, and dynamic tune with symbolic, detailed, and emotionally-driven lyrics. The song’s introduction is grounded by Allegra’s soulful vocals. Every lyric feels lived and incredibly sincere. From the start, Allegra’s gripping storytelling shines: “We’re catchin’ eyes / So try not to blink / Like you’re readin’ my mind / Now we’re interlinked / Don’t be afraid / We’ll move like a flame.” The initial spark and link between both parties is established within seconds. There is a mutual understanding at play, where the connection’s energy carries so much force it simply can’t be ignored. This interpretation is manifested by the soundtrack’s controlled, yet staggering sound. Allegra’s instrumental track is composed of steady electronic synths that progress and evolve throughout time, and create a dreamy and infectious environment. As the song’s narrative progresses, so does its tame and controlled soundscape. You can feel the emotional momentum through the instrumental build up, where animated rhythms and vibrating beats, outpour a surge of vibrant energy. As a whole, Allegra’s lyrics intertwine imagery of wildfires, lighters, and twin flames to depict the depth of human connection, and overall, unity. It is truly breathtaking: “We could start a wildfire / You’re the match and I’m the lighter, lighter /…/ I’ll keep you safe / Like we’re twin flames.” By the end, Allegra solidifies her commanding and immersive artistic presence. The hit single will without a doubt leave audiences simultaneously awestruck, and longing for the chance to hit a buzzing dancefloor. The UK-based pop artist, Allegra, has stamped herself as the next hit sound through her powerhouse vocals, engaging storytelling, and addicting pop-electric sound. The London based artist beloved for her charming vocals, relatable lyrics, and overall intimate soundscapes, has enchanted audiences with her unique and electrifying dance music. Allegra’s sound is one rooted in authenticity and glamour. As an artist, she has masterfully balanced the complex harmony between subtle, raw vulnerability, and loud, dazzling energy. There is a dynamic, potent, and animated spark that's naturally embedded in Allegra’s vocals and music production. Allegra’s music has flourished because of her never-ending consistency and profound respect for the craft. Her previous original singles and acclaimed EPs have constructed her unique artistic sound to be embraced by listeners. Because of this, Allegra’s childhood dream of becoming an admired popstar, is a vision that has gradually come to life. Her success has launched her career to be put front in center within the dance music scene. Allegra’s growing online presence, collabed hits, and credible reputation, has driven her emotionally-charged music to reach greater heights and her following to evolve in popularity. As of now, Allegra has a total of 2,295 Spotify followers and 34,949 monthly listeners. I have no doubt that these numbers will continue to rise. Allegra’s artistic identity and talent does not go unnoticed. As a first time listener, I cannot wait to hear what Allegra has in store for the future. - Review: "Vinegar and Honey (Written About Me)" - Shelby Sanborn
Photography: @saracorradoart “Vinegar and Honey (Written About Me)” is the newest single from Shelby Sanborn , a song about wanting closure from a past relationship. While it was short, it left an impact on the singer because it was during an important time in her life. Now, her ex is reaching out after years apart, which is causing her to consider getting back together with them. Sanborn recounts how the relationship went, and explains that there were good moments, but overall, she didn’t feel they were truly meant to be. This is making her unsure as to whether or not she should get back in touch with her ex; she may still have feelings, but she knows they’re incompatible. The tropical, sand between your toes, and warm sunny weather-esque production of “Vinegar and Honey (Written About Me)” is intertwined with elegance and class, which is exuded in the guitar chords and melodies. The song is primarily acoustic, with some synths, but not too much to overshadow the instrumentation. The overall sound is very lovely, and listening to the song feels like walking alongside the shore of a beach at sunset. This is supplemented by the drums, which add to the whole beachy vibe of “Vinegar and Honey (Written About Me)". Sanborn also has amazing vocals and provides fantastic harmonies throughout the single. Shelby Sanborn is a virtuoso music artist and actress from San Diego, California. She began singing and performing covers of songs at a young age, and as mentioned in the song, she studied music and songwriting at Berklee College. She began her music career in July 2018 with the release of her debut single “Desperately in Love”. In June 2019, she released her debut album Home Without a House . She has released other fantastic music in addition to her debuts and her new single, including the songs "Overcome", "Living in Winter", and "Chained to the Past". - Review: "A Feeling That I'll Never Forget" - Latti Patterson
Finding time for yourself is the most important thing you can do for yourself. As we get older, and more responsibilities come into our life we tend to neglect so many things. We stop doing the things we love like our hobbies, and we disconnect from those that are closest to us. But, most importantly we lose ourselves by not taking the time to do those things that we enjoy so much. An hour or even a day to just sit and reconnect with us is the best gift we can do for ourselves. Latti Patterson released her latest single on June 20, 2025, titled “A Feeling That I’ll Never Forget.” A song that reminds us not to be afraid of ourselves and have faith that we can overcome anything life throws at us. “A Feeling That I’ll Never Forget” opens with such a nostalgic rhythm. It reminded me of hope and new beginnings which I absolutely loved. Her voice was also super happy and cheerful which made the mood of the song so amazing. I couldn’t get enough of this track from the lyrics to the message. It was all around fantastic. I also loved the steady instrumentals throughout it made the song so familiar and homey. I almost immediately added this song to my everyday vibes playlist as it brings about so much joy. Latti Patterson is a singer/songwriter from Bakersfield, California. - Review: "ten years time" - philine
The pressure to create the traditional “nuclear family” can hit hard, but with added pressure of figuring out your future in a same sex couple can make it feel nearly impossible. Philine’s latest song “ten years time” details this struggle, but inevitably concludes that life is hard enough to work through, so thinking of all of the negatives in the future takes away from all of the positives right now. She reminds herself that even if their future family does not look the same as everyone else's, at least she gets to love her wife truly and fully, and enjoy the time that they have together. She says, “It’s a gentle reassurance that life will work itself out, serving as a reminder to live in the present rather than getting lost in uncertainty.” “Ten years time” has a simplistic soundscape, with a slight electric guitar and drum beats growing with her voice as she carries along through her story. The first verse discusses their conversations about kids and marriage, who would carry the baby and whether or not to legally marry. Despite these disagreements, in the chorus she sings, “Forget about ten years time / Forget about down the line / Focus on the feeling that you can’t resist / The future’s full of reasons that you can’t predict, oh”. In the outro, the soundscape grows for a second until it explodes, emphasizing the message philine brings forth as she repeats the lyrics sung in the chorus. Her voice is simple and heartfelt, leaving the lyrics here to tell the story for her. Philine is from a small town in the Netherlands, and grew up with music playing a large part of her childhood. Her mother instilled her love for this artform in her, being a kindergarten aged music teacher and constantly playing the guitar around the house. Her music has turned into a way to get her own thoughts out of her head and into real life, and listeners love her authenticity and ability to put feelings into words. She says, “During the writing process, I spent a lot of time inside of my brain. I have a huge imagination, and I’m a big overthinker. I tend to live in fantasy more than reality. I get so caught up with how I perceive things and my almost movie like version of life.” Make sure to follow the social medias below to stay tuned for more music from philine. - Review: "Homeland" - Farrah
Farrah released her latest single titled “Homeland” on June 26, 2025. This song is about the unbreakable bond between a couple that is forced to end. Loving someone is such a beautiful thing and getting to experience life with them is even better. But somewhere along the way you lose sight of what is going on around you. All of those memories seem to flash right before you as the world we live in is ever changing. While it may be a difficult time to go through, having that connection will keep the love and feelings the same. “Homeland” begins with the most beautiful melody I have ever heard. I was immediately hooked from the very first few seconds. Her vocals were so passionate and powerful at every possible second. I also absolutely loved the lyrics with lines like “How do I grieve a future from my dreams?” and “Forget the borders, the troubles and the pain.” Everything about this track seemed so fresh and raw I simply could not get enough of it. The track also gave off such a hopeful mood with its steady beats and soft instrumentals. The talented artist Farrah is a British Iranian singer/songwriter. Since 2018 she has been releasing music with her first single titled “Making Do.” Since then, she has been releasing music regularly. In all the music she creates you can hear just how honest, and emotion filled they all are. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend giving “Homeland” a listen as you will not be disappointed. - Album Review: "I quit" - HAIM
* I quit by HAIM via haimofficial.com HAIM just released their highly anticipated fourth studio album, I quit. The project contains a flawless 15-track run that immediately reels in listeners from the very first note. The album's lead singles, such as "Relationships" and "Down to be wrong," gave listeners a taste of what the project would hold – a mix of the band's iconic sound and a fresh take on the alt-rock genre. With the release of I quit , HAIM rightfully earned their way as one of my top favorite releases of 2025. TRACK LIST Gone All over me Relationships Down to be wrong Take me back Love you right The farm Lucky stars Million Years Everybody's trying to figure me out Try to feel my pain Spinning Cry Blood on the street Now it's time BIO HAIM is an American rock band based in Los Angeles. The band is composed of three sisters, Este (vocals and bass guitar), Danielle (lead vocals, guitar, and drums), and Alana (vocals, guitars, and keyboards). All three members are proficient in more instruments than what they are well-known for, showing their well-rounded artistry and talent. They grew up in a musical family, playing instruments from a young age in the cover band, Rockinhaim, fronted by their parents. In 2005, Este and Danielle performed with the pop group, Valli Girls, before forming a band with their youngest sister in 2007. Since then, they have made massive waves in the industry, headlining successful tours for each album, opening for big names such as Taylor Swift (1989 World Tour, The Eras Tour), Florence and the Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Rihanna, and earning several Grammy Award nominations, including for Best New Artist at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards and Album of the Year at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. HAIM is hitting the road to promote I quit -- make sure you buy your tickets today! Gone HAIM kicks off their album with the unique alt-rock anthem, “Gone.” The track was the last song the band wrote for the album and the result of wanting a flawless introduction to the project, which was executed to perfection. The song blends the sounds of both modern and classic rock, soul, and blues. The lyrics explore the freedom of leaving an unhealthy relationship and embracing being true to oneself. The song emulates the band’s carefree attitude, setting the stage for the immaculate album. All over me The album instantly changes its tune with the second track. “All Over Me” is a sensual song about yearning to be with someone. The lyrics pair well with the sultry rock sound as the narrator admits to their muse her deepest desire. She tells them, “I want you all over me.” She doesn’t care if it's their lover’s bed or her floor – she just wants to be with them in the most intimate moments. Relationships “Relationships” is the lead single from the album, propelling fans into the band’s latest era. The song delves into the intricacies of relationships, feeling frustrated in the never-ending cycle of love and loss. The simple hook ingeniously wraps up the entire message with the line: “I think I’m in love, but I can’t stand fuckin’ relationships.” Despite the exhausting storyline, the track contains an insanely catchy melody that ensures “Relationships” plays on repeat in the listener’s mind. Down to be wrong “Down to be wrong” is a sultry track with soothing vocals and bluesy soundscapes. Danielle’s stunning voice immediately lulls the listener into the song, kicking off with the infectious chorus. The track instantly became one of my favorites the moment it was released. The lyrics share the story of the bitter end of a relationship, where the narrator recognizes the sacrifices they have made to make it work. But in the end, their subject never did the same. So, while the narrator walks away, their muse says they are wrong to leave. But they are “down to be wrong // don’t need to be right,” if it means they are choosing what is best for them. Take me back The album picks back up with the infectious track, “Take me back.” The instrumentation creates a bouncy, lively atmosphere that emulates the perfect summer soundtrack. The song is a nostalgic trip to the past, exploring their high school experiences and reminiscing on the memories – the good and the bad. The brutally honest verses that expose the gritty realities contrast with the energetic “take me back” choruses. The song provides a unique perspective on the intricacies of growing up. Love you right Don’t let the joyful, folksy soundscape of “Love you right” fool you. The whimsical track may consist of lively energy, but the lyrics are far from it. The song explores the narrator's inability to love their partner right. No matter what she does, she is unable to fully commit to treating them in the way they want. She finds herself conflicted and stuck in this push-and-pull relationship. The bouncy folk-rock soundscape complements Danielle’s earthy voice, making it one of the best songs on the album. The farm “The farm” maintains the folksy soundscape with the raw vocals and an acoustic guitar-led melody. The track’s Americana-influenced instrumentation matches the title well, the genre being associated with farms. It is what makes HAIM so refreshing, because their music is truly art that takes inspiration from all genres and lives. The song shares the sad ending to a relationship, where Danielle tells her ex: “So we could keep on tryin’ // Or we could sell the farm // Just buy me out.” This imagery evokes the dilemma of the couple – keep fighting even though there’s no use, or give up and move on from their relationship. Lucky stars After the heart-wrenching songs, HAIM picks up the mood with an optimistic track about exciting beginnings. The song's bright instrumentation pairs well with the lyrics, instantly boosting the listener’s spirits. Danielle’s infectious voice sings sweet lines such as “You were down to change your plans // You found me in a foreign land // Picked me up when I was down // Yeah, honey, I was stranded.” This person has brought the narrator out of the darkness, just like the song changed the atmosphere of the album. Million years “Million years” continues the positive energy with a psychedelic soundscape and a wonderous ode to the muse – Alana’s sisters. No matter what, the three of them have two built-in best friends who are always there for each other. Just like they are there for her, she will always have their backs. She tells them: “I’ll carry you on my back // Even if it takes a million years.” The beautiful message can be dedicated to anyone in your life who has your unconditional support – familial, romantic, or platonic. Everybody's trying to figure me out Danielle has revealed that “Everybody’s trying to figure me out” was written after experiencing a panic attack after tour. As someone who suffers from anxiety and has had her fair share of panic attacks, the song resonates deeply with me. At the end of the chorus, they sing: “I lost count of the ticking clocks, baby // And I can’t feel my lungs.” This imagery describes what a panic attack feels like – you lose control of your breathing, and time seems to simultaneously slow down and speed up. Everything is in disarray, and you feel like you will not make it out alive. The song’s outro takes this feeling and reassures the listener – “you think you’re gonna die, but you’re not gonna die.” When someone is in the midst of a panic attack, they often fear that their heart is going to give out and they are experiencing death. But they aren’t. HAIM effortlessly encapsulates this feeling and makes their audience feel less alone. Try to feel my pain “Try to feel my pain” returns to the common theme of inevitable heartbreak. The alt-rock song shares the story of a relationship that the narrator no longer feels happy in. The love has fizzled out, and maybe it was never truly there, but the couple lets it continue despite knowing it should end. In the chorus, they state: “I’ll hide away my pain // I'll try to hide my pain // But I don’t know which way.” They are working their best to keep their emotions bottled up, but know the truth will come out in the end. Spinning “Spinning” is a very unique track in that it is the very first song in which Alana led vocals. The track was the result of a brand-new relationship that had her stomach full of butterflies and her eyes full of stars. Quickly after, the relationship ended, and Alana’s partner never even knew the song was written about him. However, the sweet track filled with lyrics of blooming love continues to live on forever – and isn’t that what music is really all about? Preserving memories for all to enjoy. Cry Similar to the previous track, “Cry” is the first track that Este sings lead on. The song explores the ending of the bass player-turned-lead singer’s five-year-long relationship. Her stunning vocals lull the listener in with the heavenly intro as she sings, “And I just cry, cry, cry // And I don’t know why // And I just cry.” Then, the production suddenly switches to the electrifying soft rock soundscape that contains both pop and country influences, providing something for everyone. With the introduction of Este’s talented, and underappreciated, vocals and the genre-blending soundscape, “Cry” instantly became one of my favorite tracks on I quit. Blood on the street “Blood on the street” is a stunning ballad that reminds me of Chris Stapleton's country hit “Tennessee Whiskey” – but with more sick guitar riffs. The steady drum beat and mesmerizing strings soothe listeners and make them fall in love with the band all over again. Each sister leads a verse, giving Este and Alana more time to shine. About the song, the band says the track is a “fuck you for fucking me over” to people who have done them wrong. The well-rounded track showcases each of the artists’ talents – vocal and instrumental – making it perhaps the best song on the album. Now it's time HAIM closes out the album with the fiery track, “Now it’s time.” The song starts with a sick intro that immediately draws in the listener and makes them intrigued by what’s to come. The distorted guitar and steady drumbeat feel reminiscent of Alanis Morrisette, despite the track interpolating U2’s “Numb” guitar riff. The chill atmosphere coincides with the song’s message, as the band puts the stories told through I quit to bed. They close the album with the lyric, “I never gave two fucks anyway.” This concludes the project by revealing to their muses that while there is a whole album about them, they have moved on. This ingenious conclusion is a brilliant example of HAIM’s underrated songwriting talent and proves they are one of the best rock bands of this generation. I quit by HAIM is an incredibly well-rounded alt-rock album that has something for everyone. With Danielle's sultry vocals, Este's deep basslines, and Alana's sick guitar riffs, the project highlights the individual talent of each sister. Together, they complement one another and truly create art that is timeless and unforgettable. This is even more apparent in their live performances, and if you are able to attend their upcoming tour, do it. You will be mesmerized by their commanding stage presence and stunning talent. - Review: "RUNNER" - Georgia Webster
In her new single “Runner" (stylized in all caps), singer Georgia Webster returns to the music world with her first independent release. In “Runner,” Webster details an experience with an ex-partner who wasn’t even hers to begin with. With her partner making her feel “special” and Webster telling her friends that “it might be love,” Webster follows the signs given: this is the start of something great…only to be told by her partner that “he’s just having fun.” With this saying, Webster launches into the chill chorus of “Runner,” telling listeners that her ex-partner is a “runner,” love-bombing until he gets what he wants, and once he does, he runs the opposite direction to the next person. “Runner” is a song that’s country in all the right ways. “Runner” features a guitar-heavy instrumentation that fits alongside the summery mood that it brings to speakers and headphones alike. Alongside the summery instrumentation, Webster laying out all of her cards with vulnerable and straight-up lyrics, listeners can not only jam out to this song but also relate to it. With the smooth vocals from Webster, featuring demo-like vocals in the prechorus as a warning to listeners in these situations, and the backing instrumentation making listeners want to roll the windows down this summer, “Runner” has potential to be the song of the summer. Georgia Webster is a Nashville based singer-songwriter. Inspired by singers like Taylor Swift, Avril Lavigne, and the band Coldplay, Webster started posting her very own music at the age of ten and hasn’t looked back since. While in Nashville, Webster has served as an opening act for some of her favorite artists, like Kelsea Ballerini and Ingrid Andress. Previously signed to Sony Music Nashville, Webster has dived into the independent music scene with ease and poise. With “Runner” being her first entry into this new era of her music career, listeners are eagerly awaiting to see what Webster will do next. - Album Review: "American Heart" - Benson Boone
Photo credits: Spotify A testament to Benson Boone's motivation to transcend the success of his hit single "Beautiful Things," American Heart pushes the artist's creativity to new heights. The unapologetically pop-rock album blends retro nostalgia with plenty of contemporary attitude, drawing inspiration from Bruce Springsteen and Americana music to create Boone's second top 10 album in the US. TRACK LIST: 1. Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else 2. Mr Electric Blue 3. Man In Me 4. Mystical Magical 5. Reminds Me Of You 6. Momma Song 7. I Wanna Be The One You Call 8. Wanted Man 9. Take Me Home 10. Young American Heart Quickly becoming a viral sensation in the pop world, Benson Boone began making major strides in his career in the early 2020's. The artist began his ascent after briefly competing on American Idol in 2021, later withdrawing from the show and gaining traction on TikTok. After his popularity grew on the social media app, Boone signed with Dan Reynolds' Night Street Records label and released his beloved singles, "Ghost Town" and "In the Stars." Releasing his debut album, Fireworks & Rollerblades , in 2024, Boone has achieved global fame and recognition as the album spawned his most well-known hit, "Beautiful Things," and climbed charts internationally. Following the immense success of this debut, Benson Boone has come back better than ever and reaches for the stars with his sophomore album, American Heart . Starting American Heart off in a blaze of glory, Benson Boone delivers two exhilarating pop-rock tracks right off the bat. "Sorry I'm Here For Someone Else" was released as the lead single from the album, giving fans a taste of the thrilling and rousing sonic journey Boone would take us on with this body of work. The track is reminiscent of Harry Styles or a mature One Direction , full of unforgettable melodies, impactful climaxes, and spunky instrumentals. Matching this energy, "Mr Electric Blue" is the second entry on American Heart and is a shockingly electrifying tribute to Boone's father. The track drips '80s synth-pop attitude, serving up sounds that could rival the iconic band Electric Light Orchestra. Staying true to the '70s and '80s influences behind American Heart , "Man In Me" samples the darker side of synth-pop as he pairs a poignant narrative of emotional loss in a relationship with an infectious, danceable pop-rock sound. The track explores Boone grappling with the man he lost in himself as his significant other stripped away his identity, leaving him lamenting and mourning his past self. The artist's vocal performance is breathtaking on this entry, not only showing off his vocal range but also his ability to infuse powerful, gut-wrenching emotion into the delivery of his lines. Moving back to something more lighthearted, "Mystical Magical" is the shimmering, sparkling next entry on this album that served as the second single from American Heart . The track features a heavy use of synths to convey Boone's feelings of ethereal, other-worldly love and being high on life, all while using interpolations from Olivia Newton-John's "Physical." Slowing things down a bit, Benson Boone channels his inner Bruno Mars with "Reminds Me Of You." The track is a mid-tempo soul rock ballad, featuring a reflective narrative longing for lost love and showcasing Boone's soaring vocals over a rich instrumentation. Following with one of the most stunning entries on American Heart , Boone delivers the masterpiece that is "Momma Song," pouring every fiber of his soul and being into this heartfelt tribute to his mother. The track shows a homesick Boone experiencing the challenges of adulthood and being far from home while grappling with the bittersweet feelings that come with realizing someone you love so much, like your mother, won't always be there. A tender, emotional ballad, Boone wears his heart on his sleeve as he delivers line after powerful line about needing to hold onto every memory he can of his mother because one day, that's all he'll have left of her. Picking up momentum, "I Wanna Be The One" brings us back to the upbeat synth-laden sounds driving American Heart . The track pairs longing for a love connection with an explosive pop-rock/synth-pop soundscape that sounds like Harry Styles with a fresh twist. There's no denying Boone's talent on this song as the artist pushes his vocal range to the fullest, showcasing his impressive falsetto. Another addictive entry on American Heart , "Wanted Man" is the edgiest song on the album, giving artists like Adam Lambert a run for their money when it comes to delivering fiery, strutting pop-rock anthems. The track challenges Boone's usual light-hearted, contemporary pop sounds, shedding light on the artist's aggressive side. Throwing one more ballad into the mix, "Take Me Home" gives us a scaled-back, tender soundscape while taking a break from the album's more intense songs. The track features a softer instrumentation, incorporating a sense of calm through the subtle piano and acoustic guitar lines that eventually build into a lush climax. Ending on a high note, "Young American Heart" wraps this album up nicely with an anthem about the dreams, freedom, courage, and naivety that come with youth. The track is rightfully explosive and buoyant, celebrating what it's like to be young and free over a fierce and spirited pop-rock soundscape. While American Heart may have received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, it certainly has something for everyone to enjoy. The album is a solid follow-up to Benson Boone's debut album, proving the singer-songwriter is capable of producing plenty of commercial hits for the world to enjoy. An evolving artist aiming to expand his creative vision, Boone has proven there is so much more to him than "Beautiful Things" and has created a work of art he should be absolutely proud of. We have always loved KT’s voice and her songwriting so bringing this song to life with her has been a real privilege." Adding to the discussion about the artists' creative experience, KT Tunstall stated, "I met Jack and Harry quite a few years back and loved their vibe and songwriting. Real players and songcraft with an old school, troubadour attitude to touring where they put the hours in and got really great at what they do. Authentic and righteous dudes! - Review: "FIRST CALL" - George Redwood
In “FIRST CALL”, George Redwood escalates a lovesick pop hit with stellar storytelling and clean vocals. He sings about uncertainty and living in “ different dimensions ”, hinting at miscommunication and tension. Soon after, he asserts “ wanna be the last one you call at night/ I wanna be the first one that’s on your mind, ” clarifying that he wants to be “the one”. This is laced with the frustration of waiting for this “call” to be delivered. He parallels the miscommunication in a relationship with the idea of a phone call, adding to the creativity and cohesiveness of the track. The chorus dominates the track and repeats with a heavy emphasis on George’s aspirations. “FIRST CALL” is a classic electro-pop track with head-turning synth patterns and a contagious beat that catches attention. This track starts with a persistent electronic tone and bends sound to create a swishing soundscape that is solidified by clarified vocals. The track pauses for dramatic effect, and resumes with a similar beat. Vignette synths close in on the bridge, creating an emotional urgency that George runs with in the chorus. This song is almost inspired by EDM-pop, with steadier vocals that contribute to a full plot conveying meaningful lyrics. The song ends with one last punch of the catchy chorus, followed by a quick fade out that invites listeners to hit the “replay” button. George Redwood is an upcoming artist that gained recognition through BBC’s All Together Now and his debut album “BETTER THAN NOTHING” which was number 5 on iTunes Pop Album Chart at the time. He released his firsts single, “Truth of the Matter” in 2019, and debut album this year. He has released a lot of music this year, including “Be Alright”, “ROOTS”, “THE TRUTH OF IT ALL, “FIREWORKS”, and his latest, “FIRST CALL”. His most popular song “Head Up In The Clouds” has almost 1 million streams on Spotify, and he has more than 91K monthly listeners on the platform. - Review: "Rotten" - Luna Jones
The track “Rotten” off the debut album This Could Hurt. from Luna Jones is a song about unrequited love. Jones details the timeline of knowing a friend that she has always had a crush on, but was never reciprocated, no matter how much she wanted it to be. This leaves her very upset and in a confused and betrayed state. She doesn’t understand why they wouldn’t want her back and tries to imagine a world in which they were together. Jones is the sole songwriter of “Rotten” and does an incredible job conveying her emotions of heartbreak in each line, writing lyrics that are relatable to many when it comes to the hardships and trials of love. Indiepop sets the story for this track, with the production emphasizing different elements of the genre. One of these is the melancholy guitar chords, which greatly add to the emotional depth of “Rotten”. Another is the unique and original production that defines each layer of the song, from the vocals to the instrumentation. The drums add a very dramatic vibe to the song that portrays the emotions of the song even more. This is such a beautiful and amazing song, giving off very strong vibes of something that I’ve never heard before but I’m so lucky I can listen to a song like this and a musician like Jones. It’s most likely the creative melodies and Jones’s insane vocal talent, as she’s not only a fantastic songwriter but a fantastic singer as well. Luna Jones is a virtuoso music artist, and it’s not everyday you come across someone like her in the pop scene. She’s single handedly making a new sound that I expect will soon take over the world. She began her music career just last year in July with her debut single “Lovebomb”, another track from This Could Hurt. . She has released multiple EPs and released her debut album in June 2025. Her overall aesthetic is just one of the factors setting her apart from the rest of her fellow pop girls. In May 2025, she performed live at The Troubadour in West Hollywood. Luna Jones is an exceptional and extraordinary rising star in the music industry! Written By Ashley Adams FOLLOW LUNA JONES: Instagram | Spotify | TikTok | Apple Music | YouTube
- Review: "obsessed" - Harvey Brittain
The lyrics in "Obsessed" are simply honest and emotional. Harvey sings about being stuck on someone, even when he knows it’s not good for him. The song replicates a late-night thought spiral, when your mind won’t stop thinking about someone. The verses feel personal, almost like reading a page from his journal. His words are simple but hit hard, and they’re relatable, hearing the pain in his voice as he sings. He sings in a soft and smooth tone, but there’s a lot of emotion underneath that carries the emotion. He’s not trying to be perfect—he’s just being real. That honesty makes the song really easy to connect with and enjoy. Harvey brings his whole heart when it comes to putting all the pieces together to form this anthem. It is hard for artists to be able to sing their emotions while simultaneously creating production to match the message, but "Obsessed" does it with ease. The song starts with light piano and builds up before reaching the chorus. As the song progresses, it only gets more catchy and relatable. There are background layers—like faint harmonies and echoing sounds—that make the song feel full without being too polished. Every sound feels like it has a purpose. It’s clear Harvey knows exactly how he wants his music to make people feel. Harvey Brittain is a 23-year-old singer, songwriter, and producer from Preston, England. He now lives in Los Angeles after signing with Jake Ottmann’s indie label, Slumbo Labs. Inspired by his dad, who also played music, Harvey started playing piano at age four. At 15, he performed on a British talent show in front of big names like Robbie Williams. He chose not to continue with it, but took Williams’ advice to live life and write about it. Harvey started studying at Berklee College of Music with help from author Lee Child. Harvey now releases new songs every six weeks and has played sold-out shows in London, New York, and L.A. With influences like Harry Styles, The 1975, and Frank Ocean, Harvey is making heartfelt, honest music with a sound that’s all his own.
